Satyendra Nath Bose was an outstanding Indian physicist. He is known for his important contributions to quantum physics. His research in quantum physics laid the foundation for “Bose-Einstein statistics” and “Bose-Einstein condensate” theory. In physics, two types of molecules are considered – bosons and fermions. ‘Boson’ has been given to keep the name of great Indian scientist Satyendra nath Bose indelible in physics because this great Indian scientist gave a new direction to modern physics i.e. quantum physics. His works were appreciated by the great scientist Einstein and along with him he formulated many theories. His research in quantum physics gave a new direction to this subject and many scientists who made new discoveries based on their discovery went ahead and received the Nobel Prize.

Newton’s theory of gravitation is needed to understand the planets and their relationships. According to him, every object in the world attracts other objects found around it. Like the Sun to the planets, the Earth to the Moon. This principle is applicable in most places, but there are many places where it does not work. If we talk about the movement of molecules of gases, then this law becomes helpless there. Innumerable types of molecules are found in gases, which are always in motion. Their mobility has a special relationship with the pressure and temperature of the gas. To understand the movement of these molecules of gases, the rule of average of mathematics is used. To understand this, the mathematical theory that Maxwell and Boltzmann derived is known as statistics. Statistics talks about the math of averages. Its need is found at every step in modern physics.

These laws, discovered by Quaswell and Waltzmann, worked well until scientists knew only about atoms. But as soon as the scientists came to know that many types of atomic particles are found inside the atom and their movements are very unique, their rule failed. In such a situation, Dr. Satyendranath Bose discovered new rules, which later came to be known as ‘Bose-Einstein statistics’. After this rule came to the fore, scientists made a deep study of atomic particles and found that they are mainly of two types. One of these was named ‘Boson’ after Dr. Bose and the other ‘Fermion’ after the famous scientist Enrico Fermi.

The person whose genius was not only accepted by a scientist like Einstein but also associated his name with it, the person not getting the Nobel Prize raises many questions. This thing is also important because most of the scientists believe that Higgs boson may not have the same impact as ‘Bose-Einstein statistics’ has had on physics.
