There is no language in the world in which nothing has been written on the Gita. It has been manifested in Sanskrit language, so it is natural for Devvani Sanskrit to have a plurality of its interpretations or commentaries. At present detailed commentaries of Lord Sri Shankaracharya, Sri Ramanujacharya and other great scholars are available on Gita. In the present book, translation of Bhashya composed by Swami Shridharacharya has been published. In spite of other detailed commentaries, Sridhari Tika has one main feature of its own.
In this, a successful attempt has been made to reveal the essence of the Gita in brief through simple language. Through this interpretation, an attempt has been made to present the true meaning of the scripture. The path of refutation of the opposite party has not been adopted for the establishment of its own side. Although Sridharaswami is also a follower of Shankaramat; However, he has saved this commentary from the fault of incomprehensibility by keeping himself apart from the contradictory method of the former interpreters. He himself says in the beginning that ‘I begin the interpretation of the Gita after thoroughly considering the views of the commentator Shankaracharya and the words of the scholars who interpret it.’ It can be understood spontaneously. That’s why he has named his vaccine Subodhini and has always advised wise men to think about it. Sridharaswami, despite being a wanderer of Advaita-Veethi, was a Mahatma who used to meditate on the devotion of Paramananda Madhav. Even after accepting the principle of ‘So’ham’, he had made the practice of ‘Tawa’ham’ the foundation stone of his life.
